Meet Lynne
Greetings!
I am so glad you have joined me in my lifelong quest of making and creating more than a meal, but a joyous food experience. I have always loved cooking and setting a pretty table with beautiful dishes and linens. And, of course, I also love an awesome apron!
I am from Central Illinois, with southern roots, having grown up in Florida. For the past 26 years, I worked in healthcare, with the last several years in administration. I worked for a small critical access hospital in rural Illinois and had the opportunity to use my talents and passion in many ways. I was an integral part of the team when we moved our hospital to a new facility, obsessed about hospital volunteerism, passionate about all aspects of the patient experience, led my team in creating an award-winning sustainability program, and established a thriving community farmers market. I loved my job but decided with pressing family commitments that it was time to retire. Which has brought me to a new stage in my life. I have taken the last year to realize what I have always loved is now even more important to me. Connecting food and the total experience of an awesome meal inspires me.
Making time for a family meal, which is so important in our busy lives today, was always a priority for me when raising our family. I have been married to a wonderful man for over thirty years, who really appreciates my passion for food and cooking. I have two lovely daughters with families of their own. Both of my girls have moved away, so when we are all together, the meal we celebrate has an even greater significance to me. By focusing on making family meals a food experience, we shared more than just a meal, we shared moments that have turned into lifelong memories.
